Sea Isle City Reflections

Sea Isle City has a new Barbeque restaurant and it is fantastic. Located on the Bay at 42nd Street, Moe’s opened last week and offers a southern style barbeque that taste beats all. The Barbeque sandwich, which is served with a tangy/sweet red barbeque sauce and is offered with cole slaw on the sandwich which makes it a mouth watering experience. As I sit and write this, I’m salivating over the taste. Racks of ribs and barbeque chicken are also specials that will want you coming back for more. This restaurant offers ample seating and allows for BYOB. Come to Moe’s and get the taste of Southern cooking you’ve only heard about. 609-263-0300.

It has been a tough few years for real estate at the Jersey Shore, but this year so far, we have seen a slight increase in sales in Sea Isle City. Due to the economy and the unstable stock market, and CD’s that are barely paying 2.5%, many investors have come back to buying at the Jersey Shore. The interest rates are great, and the prices have come down to where people can afford them once again. As Memorial Day nears, the summer season is almost upon us. Sea Isle City will go from a quiet, beach town, to a thriving resort destination with sun worshipers coming from everywhere. All of the local restaurants and bars will be back in full action and this city by the ocean will be lined with people from all aspects. While I live and do Real Estate in Sea Isle City, every once in a while I discover a great place to travel that I like to mention on my blog. If you’ve ever traveled to Florida, you may not know about the Panhandle and northern Gulf Coast region, as it’s not nearly as popular as Orlando, Miami or the Ft. Lauderdale area.

Just recently I took a trip to the Village of South Walton and absolutely fell in love with it. In fact, it’s completely different than the rest of Florida, and in good ways. For example, on the northern Gulf Coast of Florida you will find significantly less humidity and the temperatures aren’t nearly as stifling as the lower portions of Florida.

Also, the sands are white, the oceans calm and crystal clear blue, and it still retains the feeling of untouched paradise. If you’re looking for a different sort of vacation in Florida, I can’t recommend this area highly enough.

It is March 10th, 2008 and the Sea Isle City rentals have taken off this year. A few reasons are that we had very mild weather in January, and the Eagles did not make the playoffs this year. Both are factors why rentals in Sea Isle are up over 20% from last year. Another is the price of gas. With gas prices soaring to over 65 cents per gallon more than last year, many want to stay close to home to vacation. And no better place than Sea Isle City.

So if you are planning  a trip to Sea Isle this year, don’t wait too long to make your reservations or the choices may not be as good as you would want.

I ran into this great article that lists 10 great reasons to visit the Jersey Shore. I couldn’t agree more. The Jersey Shore is the best northernmost beach vacation spot in the mid-Atlantic region and there really isn’t a better place to visit for your next vacation.

And Sea Isle City might be the best of the best;-)

When entering Sea Isle City, you will be on JFK Boulevard, also known as 40th Street. This street has many shopping, eating, and parking areas to assist visitors during their stay.

For those who are not familiar with Sea Isle City, Pleasure Avenue is one of the most desirable streets in town because it runs  to the beach and is the closest  to the Ocean. When renting or purchasing, if you can afford it, Pleasure Ave. is a great opportunity because of its location.

Forty-Third Street and the beach in Sea Isle City is a great location for tourist. If you are not staying close to the beach or visiting for only a day, Forty Third and the Beach offers all the amenities you could every want. There are bathrooms, food establishments, shaded areas, and an outside bar with live entertainment.  You can spend the day without worrying about finding facilities that meet your needs. Come to forty-third Street and the beach in Sea Isle City.
