Boating and Fishing Options

While enjoying the beach during the day, Sea Isle offers some “Fun in the Sun” activities that will make memories of a lifetime. For those who enjoy fishing and catching your meal, Sea Isle has many boating excursions from a few hours on the water fishing, to a full day tour out into the ocean. You can rent your own boat, or take a guided tour to the best fishing places in South Jersey. Or if you want to take a kayak into the Back Bay and observe nature at it’s best, you can rent one and two man kayaks and paddle your way through the marshes. During this quiet, peaceful voyage you will see birds, fish, and wildlife in its natural habitat. There are many boating options to be had.

For those who want to fish without the use of a boat, there is fishing off the beach, a fishing pier located at 59th and the bay, and a favorite of many is at the south end of our Island on the west side of the Bridge leading into Avalon.

Parasailing: You've got to try it!

How many times have you been relaxing, reading, or sunning yourself and seen a boat going by with the Parasail attached to the back and thought about Parasailing for an adventure? Sea Isle Parasail, located at 86th and The Bay, 263-5555, can arrange for your adventure above the sea. For those of you who are apprehensive about this, I can tell you that I’ve done it and it is a great experience. I am afraid of heights, but parasailing did not bother me in the least. You are extremely secure and slowly lifted up to 500’ for an amazing view of Sea Isle from above. I truly think everyone should experience this at least one time.

Other Daytime Activities

For those of you who want the excitement of a fast, thrilling ride, waverunning is an exhilarating experience you won’t forget. Safe and guided, these sea craft can be a highlight of one’s vacation. You can rent these from Sea Isle Water Sports Center located at 329 43rd Street (263-9100).

Other activities you can indulge in is our “Dealy Field”, which host tennis courts, a skateboard park, hockey rink, basketball courts, baseball field, and soccer field. This is located between 59th to 63rd Streets.
